HP has launched a new, high-end gaming monitor mount that mounts to the back of the laptop to give it a more traditional look.
The new monitor mount has an integrated webcam, two USB 3.0 ports, two HDMI ports, and two DisplayPort 1.2 ports.
This new mount is available in several different colors, including black and white, which are the only ones currently available.
HP has also included an optional black-and-white version of the mount for $30.
The mount is part of a larger HP display upgrade program that began last year, and it’s part of what HP has been doing to expand its gaming laptop range over the past few years.
HP’s newest gaming laptops are a bit different from their predecessors in that they’ve been built to support Nvidia’s upcoming Pascal GPU.
Nvidia has promised its first gaming-focused laptop to hit the market in 2020.
That’s a long way off, but we expect to see more than a handful of Nvidia-powered gaming laptops hitting the market before that.
Nvidia’s Pascal GPU, which Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang is expected to reveal at GTC next month, will make the GeForce GTX 980 Ti and GTX 970 GPUs more competitive with AMD’s Radeon RX 580 and RX 570 GPUs.
Nvidia says it will start shipping its first GeForce GTX 10-series GPUs in 2019.
