News.au reader comments: A brawl broke out at a local beachfront restaurant in Victoria’s north-east on Friday night that was captured on camera by a witness.
The incident was captured by two patrons, one of whom has a history of trouble with the law.
A man and woman were filmed getting into a fight near the intersection of Victoria Street and Wairarapa Avenue.
The woman is heard yelling at the man to get off her.
“I’m so sorry to tell you, this is my fault,” the woman said to the man, who responds by punching her in the face.
“You know what I do?
I get a hold of her and I hit her on the nose,” she continues.
The woman said she was punched several times, and later the man was arrested for assault causing harm. “
And I go to go get her.”

The video was posted on the Facebook page of the Surfers Paradise Beach Party club, and the couple involved in the brawl have since been identified.
“A guy who had just been on the dance floor, a guy who’s just dancing and a guy that was just dancing in the corner, he was getting in a brawl,” said club president David Farr.
A woman was also seen trying to help a man who had been knocked unconscious. “
It’s a bit sad because you can see how intoxicated they were.”

“He was trying to resuscitate him and that’s when the guy got his hands up, the guy was kicking him and then he got punched in the stomach,” Mr Farr said.
“That’s when she was on the ground, that’s the moment she said she’s going to kill him.”
Mr Farg said it appeared the man in the video was trying desperately to get the woman to leave.
“She was trying not to get up, trying to get him off the dancefloor, trying not get up because she wasn’t really feeling well, but she was trying,” he said.
The two men were arrested and charged with assaulting an officer, resisting arrest and public intoxication.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said police had been called to the scene and were investigating.
